On October 29th, the opening ceremony of the 2025 Annual Meeting of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) Technical Committee on Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), focusing on clothing, hands, and fall protection, was held in Hangzhou. Xu Jia'ai, Vice Minister of the Ministry of Emergency Management, and Ms. Anette Hoskin, Chair of the ISO PPE Technical Committee, attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches. Wu Yin, Chairman of UPROTEC (Shenzhen) Technology Co., Ltd., and Zou Liang, R&D Director, along with their delegation, also attended.

This conference was hosted by the State Administration for Standardization and co-organized by the Department of Policy and Regulation of the Ministry of Emergency Management, the International Exchange and Cooperation Center of the Ministry of Emergency Management, and the Hangzhou Municipal Administration for Market Regulation. Discussions focused on the development and revision of international standards in the fields of clothing, hands, and fall protection, further promoting international standards exchange and cooperation. Relevant officials from the Ministry of Emergency Management, the State Administration for Market Regulation, Zhejiang Province, the Hangzhou Municipal Government, and emergency management and market supervision departments attended the meeting. Officials from international standardization organizations (ISOs) of more than 20 countries, including the United States and Australia, along with representatives from member countries and domestic experts, attended the conference and participated in discussions and exchanges.



During the annual meeting, elites from the global personal protective equipment (PPE) field gathered to conduct in-depth discussions and exchanges on several key standards, aiming to promote the improvement and upgrading of industry standards and lay a solid foundation for the development of the global PPE industry. UPROTEC actively participated in the following standards: ISO 16602 Chemical Protective Clothing series, EN ISO 11612-2015 Protective Clothing – Heat and Fire Protective Clothing – Minimum Performance Requirements, EN ISO 14460-1999 Racing Driver Protective Clothing – Heat and Fire Protection – Performance Requirements and Test Methods, ISO 9150-1988 Protective Clothing – Determination of the Performance of Materials Under the Impact of Molten Metal Splash, ISO 11611-2024 Protective Clothing for Welding and Related Processes, ISO 13506-1-2024 Part 1: Test Methods for Complete Garments – Measurement of Transfer Energy Using a Thermal Apparatus, ISO 13506-2-2024 Part 2: Skin Burn Prediction – Calculation Requirements and Test Cases, ISO 17493-2016 Heat Protective Clothing and Equipment – ​​Test Method for Convective Thermal Resistance Using a Hot Air Circulating Oven, ISO The company participated in the discussion and confirmation of several ISO standards, including 20471-2013 "Highly Visible Clothing - Test Methods and Requirements".
